Shedlock is a regional organizer for the Laborers' International Union of North America and president of the Maine Building and Construction Trades Council and the Southern Maine Labor Council, per the Maine AFL-CIO. He comes from a family of blue-collar workers, per his campaign site, and is running for Maine House District 120 representing South Portland.
