He also serves as City Prosecutor for Denham Springs and French Settlement and sits on the boards of the Capital Area Law Enforcement Planning Commission and the Tangipahoa Council on Aging, per his campaign site. He is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University and LSU Law School, per his campaign site.

Sherman Mack, a former Louisiana State Representative and lifelong resident of Livingston Parish, is a candidate for District Attorney of the 21st Judicial District, per his campaign site. He has 25 years of civil and criminal litigation experience and is the senior member of the Mack Law Firm, the largest law firm in Livingston Parish. While in the Legislature he was appointed chairman of the House Criminal Justice Committee, where he worked on criminal-justice policy with the Attorney General's office and the state district attorneys association.
