Landry is an Ascension Parish lawyer who graduated from Southern University Law Center in 1996 and has practiced in the parish since about 2000, handling a wide range of criminal and civil cases and working with Volunteer Ascension, per a WAFB profile from her 2018 court race. Biography

Verdigets has served as the Division A judge of the 23rd Judicial District Court since taking office on January 1, 2015, following his November 2014 election, and serves as the court's chief judge, per the court's official website. Before joining the bench he was a felony prosecutor with the 23rd Judicial District Attorney's office, where he was named Louisiana's Drug Prosecutor of the Year in 2012, and also maintained a private general law practice. He is a 1995 graduate of East Ascension High School, earned a bachelor's degree from LSU in 2000, and graduated with honors from Southern University Law Center in 2003.
