Biography

Rob Rothenburger is a Republican candidate for Shelby County Judge Executive. Rothenburger previously served as Shelby County Judge Executive for 14 years and as a state representative for two terms, and also served as fire chief for the city of Shelbyville and holds a Kentucky paramedic license, according to the Sentinel-News. Rothenburger's campaign has focused on updating the county's land use plan, improving roads, supporting emergency services staffing, and expanding parks and recreation access, per the Sentinel-News. No campaign website was found as of September 8, 2026.
