One candidate is tracked for Oldham County Magistrate - 1st District on the November 3, 2026 ballot: Joyce G. Fletcher. Candidate information follows official Oldham County election filings; verify with the official election office linked below.
Joyce G. Fletcher won a four-way May 19, 2026 Republican primary with 461 votes (36.44%), ahead of incumbent Brent Likins (415, 32.81%), Randy Powell (293, 23.16%) and R. Lee Stanley (96, 7.59%), per the clerk's official cumulative results (current officeholder Brent Likins per oldhamcountyky.gov/magistrates). Two Democrats (Galen Clark and Jessi Metzger Bockting) filed for this seat per the clerk's April 2026 filing list, which should have produced a contested Democratic primary, but NO Democratic District 1 results appear anywhere in the clerk's official cumulative results report - meaning one candidate withdrew before the ballot printed, or the report is incomplete on this point. Which Democrat (if either) remains on the November ballot facing Fletcher could NOT be confirmed and is left out rather than invented.
Justice of the peace. Justices of the peace handle the lowest-level court matters: small claims, evictions, traffic and minor criminal cases, and, in some states, marriages and inquests. The office is part of the judiciary, so candidates are limited in what they may promise.
