Matt Deneen is the sitting state senator for Kentucky's 10th District, per the campaign site. He is a former educator, coach, and school administrator, a small-business owner, and was twice elected to the Elizabethtown City Council, per the campaign site. During his first legislative session in 2023 he sponsored bills including Senate Bill 49 on teacher workforce shortages, Senate Bill 119 on sexual assault law, and Senate Bill 60 on motorcycle licensing, per the campaign site.
