She holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Florida State University, a Master of Arts in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, per the campaign site. In 2017 she founded Micah Legal, a Lexington nonprofit law firm offering sliding-scale civil legal services, per the campaign site. Since taking office in January 2023 she has served on the Judiciary, Health Services, Rules, Natural Resources and Energy, and Legislative Oversight and Investigations committees, per the campaign site.
