Biography

Sandy Salmon grew up on her family's farm near Kingsley, Iowa and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1977 with a degree in business management, per her campaign site. She was commissioned an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving from 1977 to 1980, before later working preparing taxes and raising her family, per the same source.
