Sadler is the sitting Hendricks County Sheriff, having assumed office January 1, 2023, with 29 years of law enforcement experience, per his campaign site. He graduated with honors from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in 1997 and joined Vincennes City Police before serving with the Hendricks County Sheriff's Department in roles including merit deputy, sergeant, field training officer, detective, firearms instructor and captain, per his campaign site. He completed the FBI National Academy in 2020 and serves as a trustee of the Indiana Sheriffs Association, per his campaign site.
