About the Ada County Treasurer

The treasurer keeps and invests the county's public money, with safety first, then ready access, then return. The office is also the county's tax collector: it bills and collects property taxes and passes them on to the county, its six cities, school districts, fire districts, libraries and other taxing districts. The treasurer also serves as public administrator for the estates of people who die with no known heirs, per the Ada County Treasurer's office.
