Biography

Demetrius Douglas played college football at the University of Georgia and professionally for the New York Jets, Washington Redskins and Calgary Stampeders before entering the mortgage and real estate professions, according to his official Georgia House biography. He was first elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in July 2012, representing District 78 in Clayton and Henry counties. He also coaches high school football, most recently as a defensive coach at Dutchtown High School, per the same source.
