About this race

This race was not on the August 18 primary ballot: it is decided at the November 3, 2026 general election; Collier's Aug 18 ballot carried only the Greater Naples at-large-seats referendum, which passed 59 to 41 percent, per the Supervisor of Elections.

About the Greater Naples Fire Rescue District

The district's five-member Board of Fire Commissioners oversees the district: it adopts the annual budget, looks after district finances, preserves district property and assets, ensures compliance with state and federal requirements and monitors progress toward goals. The fire chief is the chief administrative officer and makes day-to-day decisions, per the district's board page. The district covers 1,517 square miles, serving Chokoloskee, Everglades City, Golden Gate, East Naples, Isles of Capri, Port of the Islands and surrounding areas, per the Florida House bill analysis.

Commissioners serve four-year staggered terms. Currently two seats are elected at large by the East Naples Division, two by the Golden Gate Division and one is a district-wide seat, per the House bill analysis. The board meets monthly on the second Wednesday.
