James Maroney is the Democratic state senator for Connecticut's 14th District, representing Milford, Orange and parts of West Haven and Woodbridge, per his campaign site. He is the author of the Connecticut Data Privacy Act and serves as Deputy Majority Leader and Co-Chair of the General Law Committee, per his campaign site. Maroney founded First Choice College Placement, a Milford-based educational consulting firm, and previously represented the 119th District in the state House, per his campaign site.

Owen T. Weaver serves as Orange's Town Attorney and is a partner at the law firm Zabel Schellenberg, PLLC, representing multiple Connecticut municipalities, per the Milford-Orange Times.
