County Judge Lisa Brown (R) died August 12, 2026, after serving since 2022; the White County Republican Committee nominated Heather Bryant, a former administrative assistant under Brown, to replace her on the November ballot, while the Quorum Court separately appointed Brown's husband, George Brown, to serve the remainder of her current term through December 31, 2026, per the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (arkansasonline.com, August 21, 2026). Bryant is unopposed in November.
