Hannan is a lifelong Alaskan who has lived in Juneau for more than 37 years and spent three decades in education, including 20 years teaching at Juneau-Douglas High School, per the campaign site. She also ran a small business selling locally caught fish with her husband for nearly two decades and is now serving her fourth term as the District 4 representative, per the campaign site.
