Mina is a lifelong Alaskan and the daughter of Filipino immigrants who grew up in the family's assisted living business in Airport Heights, per the campaign site. Mina has worked as program director for Build Back Better Alaska, legislative aide for a state representative, and communications specialist for the Alaska Primary Care Association, and has served as president of Alaska Young Democrats since 2019, per the campaign site.
