About this measure

How it reached the ballot

Nevada statewide petitions for the 2026 cycle required 148,788 valid signatures - 10 percent of the votes cast at the preceding general election - including at least 37,197 from each of four petition districts. Initiated constitutional amendments must be approved at two consecutive general elections, which is why Questions 6 and 7, first passed in 2024, appear again in 2026. Legislature-proposed amendments must pass two consecutive legislative sessions before reaching voters, and measures pass by simple majority.
