Biography

Scott Morgan is an attorney and former publishing-business owner who grew up in Shawnee and holds University of Kansas degrees in journalism and law, per the Lawrence Times. He has worked as staff counsel to U.S. Sens. Nancy Landon Kassebaum and Bob Dole and as chief counsel to Gov. Mike Hayden, and he co-founded the statistical publisher Morgan Quitno Press, per the same report. The newly formed United Kansas Party nominated him for secretary of state in May 2026. No campaign website was found as of September 6, 2026.
