Biography

Sarahana Shrestha represents the 103rd Assembly District, per the New York State Assembly. She was born in Kathmandu, Nepal, moved to the United States in 2001, and became a naturalized citizen in 2019, per the Assembly. Before her election she worked as a climate organizer, per the Assembly, which describes her as the first Nepali-origin member of the chamber.
