Rick Lopes is the Democratic state senator for Connecticut's 6th District, representing Berlin, Farmington and New Britain, per his campaign site. He was elected to the Senate in 2020 after previously representing the 24th Assembly District beginning in 2012, per his campaign site. Lopes serves as Deputy Majority Leader, Chair of the Environment Committee and Vice Chair of the Transportation Committee, and has run his own small property management business since 1993, per his campaign site.
