Biography

Richard Lamondin Jr. is the co-founder and CEO of the environmental services company Ecofi and the Democratic candidate for Florida Senate District 38, which covers coastal Miami-Dade municipalities including Cutler Bay, Key Biscayne, Palmetto Bay, and Pinecrest. He switched to the race from a congressional bid in April 2026 to challenge Republican incumbent Sen. Alexis Calatayud, according to WLRN.
