Biography
Monica De La Cruz is the sitting U.S. Representative for this district, per the House Clerk's current member roster, first elected in 2022 as the first Republican Latina to represent Texas in Congress, per her official House biography. She serves on the Agriculture and Financial Services committees, and told the Texas Tribune her 2026 priorities center on the local economy, border security, farms, and protecting Social Security and Medicare.
