Biography

Melissa Perron is a Sault Tribe member and lifelong northern Michigan resident who graduated from Rudyard High School and later earned degrees from Bay Mills Community College and Southern New Hampshire University, per her campaign site. She founded Families for Safe Staffing, an advocacy group supporting corrections officers and their families, per the same source. Perron is the Democratic candidate for Michigan House District 107 in the 2026 general election.
