Biography
Mary Ungs-Sogaard of Dyersville was born and raised in Luxemburg, Iowa, graduated from the University of Iowa with degrees in journalism, English and education, and has worked in donor management for the nonprofit newsroom IowaWatch, according to the Telegraph Herald. She is challenging incumbent Republican Sen. Carrie Koelker in Iowa Senate District 33.
