Mark Rendon is a retired Oakland Unified School District music teacher of 29 years running for California's 14th Assembly District as a Green Party candidate, per his campaign site. He was active in the Oakland Education Association and the California Teachers Association, where he founded a Green Party caucus, and holds degrees from the Manhattan School of Music and UC Berkeley.
