Biography
Lydia Marie Edwards is the Democratic state senator for the Third Suffolk District. She is an attorney with a background in civil rights and housing advocacy who previously served as a Boston city councilor and launched the city's first Office of Housing Stability, according to her campaign site. She chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee and serves as a Captain in the Massachusetts Army National Guard.
