Biography
A former federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Florida who was lead attorney on its Child Exploitation Task Force, Laurel Lee later spent six years as a Hillsborough County circuit judge and three years as Florida's secretary of state, per her campaign site. She was elected to the U.S. House in 2022 and now sits on the Judiciary, Energy and Commerce, and House Administration committees, per that same site. It also notes her participation in the House Task Force on Artificial Intelligence.
