Biography

Bocanegra worked as a legal assistant and later as an associate attorney at Rhoades McKee before serving as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney with the Ottawa County Prosecutor's Office beginning in 2011, per the campaign site. Bocanegra holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Grand Valley State University and a Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Bocanegra was appointed to the Hispanic/Latino Commission of Michigan by Governor Rick Snyder and to the Commission on Fairness and Public Trust by Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
