Biography
Jennifer Day is the Democratic nominee for Kansas secretary of state, a Mission businesswoman and former state representative from House District 48. She won the August 4 Democratic contest, which the Associated Press called at 8:25 p.m. She has been endorsed by Gov. Laura Kelly. Since the election she has called for expanding Kansas's advance-voting window, which at 20 days she describes as the shortest in the country, and for keeping the three-day grace period for mail ballots.
