Biography
Jim Clyburn began his career as a public school teacher in Charleston before serving as South Carolina Human Affairs Commissioner from 1974 to 1992, after becoming the state's first Black gubernatorial advisor in 1971, per his official House biography. He is a senior member of the Congressional Black Caucus and the House Appropriations Committee. No campaign website was found as of September 7, 2026.
