Biography
Jeffries clerked for U.S. District Judge Harold Baer Jr. and practiced law at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison and at Godosky & Gentile before serving as in-house counsel at Viacom and CBS, per the official House biography. He served six years in the New York State Assembly, where he authored legislation on affordable housing, civil liberties and reform of the NYPD's stop-and-frisk practices, per the official House biography.
