Gregory Costantino is the sitting member for the district, per the Board of Elections' incumbent marker on the primary results. Costantino graduated from La Salle Academy in 1978 and attended Providence College before entering public service, according to his official General Assembly biography. He has represented District 44, covering Lincoln, Smithfield and Johnston, since first being elected in November 2012.
