Biography

Ivey is an attorney who served two terms as State's Attorney for Prince George's County and later chaired Maryland's Public Service Commission, per the campaign site. Earlier in his career he was an Assistant U.S. Attorney and held counsel roles on Capitol Hill, including chief counsel to the Senate Majority Leader, per the campaign site. He now represents Maryland's 4th District in Congress, serving on the Appropriations, Homeland Security and Ethics committees, per the campaign site.
