Gale Adcock is a family nurse practitioner and former chief health officer at SAS Institute, where she worked for 26 years, per her campaign site. The first advanced-practice registered nurse elected to the North Carolina legislature, she previously served on the Cary Town Council and in the North Carolina House before her election to the Senate.
