Biography

Dean Roy is the Freedom and Unity Party candidate for Vermont governor on the November 3, 2026 ballot, per the Vermont Secretary of State's general election candidate list (updated Aug. 27, 2026). Dean Roy is a 14-year-old freshman at Stowe High School and former legislative page at the Vermont Statehouse, per Fortune. He created the Freedom and Unity Party to appear on Vermont's November 2026 general election ballot for governor, taking advantage of the state's lack of a minimum age for the office. Roy has named housing affordability as his top concern and has said he would consider taking online classes to balance school with the office's duties. No campaign website was found as of September 11, 2026; the Secretary of State's general election candidate list is the only verifiable source for Dean Roy.
