Biography

Cindy Holscher is the Democratic nominee for Kansas governor, a state senator from Johnson County and a former state representative. She took 49% of the August 4 Democratic vote even though Gov. Laura Kelly had endorsed a rival, per the Kansas Reflector. Her campaign platform, titled the Common Sense and Lower Costs Agenda, leads with the cost of living, a $16 state minimum wage, a cut to the residential property assessment rate, and a moratorium on new large corporate data centers. Her running mate for lieutenant governor is state Rep. KC Ohaebosim.
