Chet Hand is a Boone County Commissioner and a homestead farmer in Walton with an executive leadership background in the private sector, per his campaign site. He won over 14-year incumbent Judge/Executive Gary Moore in the May 19, 2026 Republican primary, per WVXU's report of official Boone County results, and faces no Democratic or independent opponent on the November ballot.
