Biography
Pettersen grew up in a working-class Jefferson County family and was the first in her family to graduate from high school and college, per the campaign site. She served 10 years in the Colorado legislature, where she passed the state's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, authored Colorado's red flag law and chaired the House Education Committee, per the campaign site.
