Biography

Ben Baxley is the sitting District Judge of Elmore County, appointed in 2024, per the campaign site. Baxley has practiced law since 1989 after graduating from the University of Alabama School of Law, including prosecutorial roles in Tuscaloosa, DeKalb, and Cherokee counties, service as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Alabama, and a term as Chief of the Opinions Division at the Alabama Attorney General's Office, per the campaign site.
