Biography
Dr. Amy Acton is the Democratic nominee for Ohio governor, a physician and former director of the Ohio Department of Health who became a familiar figure leading the state's early COVID-19 response. Her campaign says she is running because she refuses to look away from Ohioans who are struggling, with an agenda focused on affordability, cleaning up corruption, and education. Her running mate is former Ohio Democratic Party chair David Pepper.
