Biography

Newins was elected to Chesapeake City Council in November 2022 as the youngest council member in the city's history, per the campaign site. A James Madison University graduate in mathematics and justice studies, she worked as a 9-1-1 dispatcher and a prosecutor for the City of Chesapeake before becoming a civil litigation and criminal law attorney at Poole Brooke Plumlee PC, per the campaign site.
