Biography

Aaron Petersen is the Nicollet County Sheriff, appointed by the county board in early 2026 after more than two decades with the department, starting as a dispatcher in 2004 and rising through deputy, Drug Task Force, and chief deputy roles, per the St. Peter Herald. He is running in November 2026 to continue in the office.
